LGBTQ Pride in Clark County has a rich and vibrant history. It all began in 1993 when a group gathered to celebrate the lives and history of the LGBTQ community in Southwest Washington. This momentous meeting led to the birth of “Saturday in the Park” in 1994, initially held near the Red Lion Inn at the Quay. What started as a small gathering quickly evolved into a significant celebration and support system for the LGBTQ community.
Over the years, “Saturday in the Park” has grown, thanks to the dedication and efforts of the Southwest Washington Pride Alliance and its members. This event has become a cornerstone for raising funds for local charities and providing educational workshops for LGBTQ families. These workshops help families understand the requirements for international travel and ensure safe travel experiences.
We invite everyone to come and be part of this joyous celebration. Whether you’re looking to support a great cause, learn more about the LGBTQ community, or simply enjoy a day of fun and entertainment, “Saturday in the Park” is the place to be. Together, we can continue to build a supportive and vibrant community for all.
The Southwest Washington Pride Alliance is dedicated to providing entertainment throughout the year, raising funds for charities, and offering supportive connections for the LGBTQ population in Southwest Washington. By volunteering and sharing your knowledge and experience, you can make a meaningful difference in our community. Join us and discover how incredible the experience can be!
